Dr. Goodheart (her real name) is founder and queen of the Advanced Laughter Institute. She has been coaching the "laughter challenged" since 1970 and taught laughter classes since 1978. She has laughed, lectured, presented and led workshops all over the world. Her book, Laughter Therapy: How to Laugh About Everything in Your Life That Isn't Really Funny, has been used as a textbook in university classes and in nurse's home study courses. It is now also available in japanese (at least she thinks it's her book). She has trained thousands of professionals in her laughter therapy techniques and continues an active psychotherapy and laughter coaching practice.
